UPDATE OF SERVICES IN LIGHT OF COVID-19
I am offering support to a growing number of people who are becoming increasingly anxious, depressed, worried and lonely. I am seeing couple and familial relationships becoming more and more strained.
That being said, I decided to open my practice in such a way to make support available to more people in the following ways:
I can be reached and meetings with me can be conducted virtually by phone, via FaceTime, Zoom or WhatsApp.
I am basically working on an on-call basis, meaning a virtual meeting can be had within the same day a client contacts me if not within an hour or two.
My virtual office is open 7 days a week, that is, all day, every day.
My TeleHealth practice enables clients to book any length of time they require on any given day. It is not at all unusual, that someone will call and ask to speak for 15, 20, 30 or 45 minutes, for example. This makes for an immediate and cost-effective means by which support can be granted.
My TeleHealth practice serves couples and families as well as individuals who are struggling.
In my role as a private practitioner, I work with the following client populations and issues, including, but not limited to:
Adults, Adolescents and Children:
*Anxiety,"burnout"
*Stress management
*Depression
*Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
*Loneliness and its relationship to concepts like Vulnerability, Courage, Shame and Worthiness
*The ever present need in all of us for Connection and Belonging
*Parenting issues: from effective parenting of Infants to effective parenting of Teenagers
*Life cycle challenges and eating disorders
*Personality Disorders: Narcissism, etc.
*Couples: Post-Affair Recovery; Couple/Marriage counselling, counselling relative to evaluating separation and/or divorce options as well as post-divorce issues (i.e. how to tell the children, restructuring of families post-divorce, co-parenting, the introducing new relationships to children, post-divorce).
I also work in conjunction with a Certified Divorce Financial Planner (CDFA) to help those working through divorce. Adolescents and young adults: Social issues relative to teens, career counselling, eating disorders, stress management, teaching study skills, etc. Families: blending families, helping families as a whole cope with pre-divorce issues, challenges that present during divorce, and post-divorce problems and challenges.
Over the last decade, I have begun offering "telepsychology". This service refers to the provision of psychological services remotely via Telephone, Email, Videoconferencing (Skype, FaceTime) and Text Messaging, where applicable. Doing so improves access to care for people who live in remote areas as well to those who are too busy to attend office visits regularly. It is also suitable for those who prefer shorter sessions (15-minutes, 30-minutes) as opposed to the one-hour commitment which is customary but more costly. The practice serves to also enhance in-office visits by allowing me to support clients between visits.

Having earned my second master’s degree in 1993, I received additional clinical training at St-Mary’s Hospital.
Today, over 28 years later, my practice has evolved to include access to psychological support and advice via various forms of Online Therapy or "TelePsychology". This service refers to the provision of support and psychological services remotely, via Phone, Email and Videoconferencing (Skype, FaceTime), and Text Messaging.
The use of technology to interact with me improves access to care for people who live in remote areas, those who cannot conveniently attend in-office visits as well to those who are too busy or unable to attend office visits. If you are frequently stuck in traffic or long commutes and would like to discuss an issue during your downtime while commuting, this service might be ideal for you. It is also suitable for those who prefer shorter sessions (15-minutes, 20, 30-minutes) as opposed to the one-hour commitment which is customary but more costly. The practice serves to also enhance in-office visits by allowing me to support clients between visits.
Approximately half of my client population is composed of couples and families(i.e.husband-wife, mother-daughter, etc.)with the goal of resolving disputes and breakdowns in communication that often occur in relationships. I have conducted workshops and have worked in industry in a consulting capacity to help management solve conflicts and teach assertiveness training within the work place.
In the last few years, I have become very much involved in helping the growing number of people who are suffering from Narcissistic Abuse, recognizing the importance of identifying and treating those who have become embroiled in such toxic relationships.
